Gifty provides the opportunity for businesses to send recipients "Gifty Credit" set at different monetary values(€). As such, Gifty Credit remains available as exchangeable gift credit that sits within the Gifty programme until set against Participating Retailers - at which time the Gifty Credit is converted into a Digital Gift Code for the selected Retailer.
Gifty Credit can be redeemed in 4 monetary denominations depending on the Retail Partners - €10, €20, €50 & €100. This is to provide choice for those Gifty recipients who may wish to use their Gifty Credit across multiple Retail Partners. Typically, it is only possible to use a single Retailer Gift Code per individual transaction, so Gifty Recipients are advised to check this condition both when selecting their digital codes and indeed when attempting to use within a transaction.
What do I do when I receive my Gifty link?
You will receive your Gifty Credit via an e-mail sent by the business who has gifted you 1 Simply click on the link in your e-mail and you will be brought into the Gifty portal. One in the Gifty portal, you simply follow the simple steps which will bring you through the redemption process.
In order to access your Gifty, you must Register by creating an anonymous Username & Password. Once this process is completed, you automatically become a Gifty member and the Registration credentials you use to set up your membership can be used in the event that you receive future Giftys.
Your Gifty Credit will be clearly highlighted on the left-hand side of your Navigation screen.
The Participating Retailers will also be clearly set out for you to review and select your preferred Retailer from which you would like to convert your Gifty Credit into a Retail Gift Code.
You can select Gift Codes in €10, €20, €50, €100 or €250 denominations (depending on the Participating Retailer). Some Participating Retailers may offer specific denominations - you are asked to familiarise yourself with the denominations available per Participating Retailer before you make your selection(s).
How long do I have to select my preferred Gift Codes?
Your Selection Window will be clearly set out within the e-mail your received with your Gifty link. The sending business controls the length of time you have to enter the Gifty site and select your preferred Gift Codes
As standard, the selection window is set at 3 months – however, this is not mandatory and you are advised to familiarise yourself with the time you have to make your selection(s) as set by the sending business of your Gifty.
How long do I have to use my selected Gift Codes?
Once you have selected your Gift Code(s), you will have 12 months to use your Gift Code with Participating Retail Partners.
What happens if I do not select my Gift Codes within the timelines set out – Selection Window and/or Gift Code Expiry?
In this event, it is unfortunately not possible to re-issue your Gifty link and/or Digital Gift Code. You will forfeit the opportunity to use your Gifty.
How do I save my Gift Code(s) for future use?
Once you have selected your preferred Gift Code(s), you are given 3 options within the platform in order to save your Gift Code(s)
View Digital Gift Code (to use details immediately or “screen shot” to add to your photos)
Create PDF of Digital Gift Code (and save to your device)
Print Digital Gift Code
At any time during the “Selection Window”, you can also re-enter the Gifty platform via the link in your original e-mail and view your Wallet which will retain any Gift Codes you have generated previously.
Separately, once registered you can also access your Gifty profile via the Gifty.ie website using the “Member Login” function.
